I'm not going to stay up until then to get the t-mobile sim I bought a while back activated. Really.
Tailing the log files of dispatchers 1, 2, and 3Monday 9/30/2002 11:22pm PDT
By Michael Morrissey
I'm restless at home. I've got the log files of the dispatchers scrolling down my screen. Although I know we're not going to see any activity until at least 4am, I keep expecting something to happen.

I feel like a kid on Christmas -- and all I want is 2000 users under my tree!

Can't sleepTuesday 10/1/2002 3:54am PDT
By Steve Kroll
It is 2:23 in the am and I can't sleep. I am at the Cardinal so I am going to walk through the darkness to Danger to test registration which is supposed to be up by 2:30. First I have to go bang on the door next door where Ryan is and get him up for this fun. If I can't sleep, nobody gets to.

Are we having fun yet?

More from AlbuquerqueTuesday 10/1/2002 4:08pm PDT
By Sean Horton

The top question of the day from customers is "How can I extend my SideKick T-Mobile minutes?" All the CSRs coming to me complaining that the minutes are too restrictive and how are we going to reach the correct demographic. Now all we/they have to do is convince T-mobile that their customers want more minutes. On a positive note, the CSR opens a ticket each time a customer calls about not having enough minutes.

People are NOT calling about setup questions, registration, or how to questions (bravo team). I think they get allot of setup calls about the other wireless data devices they sell. One call did come in about not being able to pop his pop accounts at will. But Danger had already thought about it from the web and from the device, the customer was told about the Menu + U and pointed to the web. I even heard a training manger use the "smoothly" word, like "this is going smoothly". I was told in past launches they got hammered with calls. When their call wait time goes up no one gets all shapes and sized prizes (see pic).

The t-shirt are all gone, some stickers are left over, and I thanks all the CSR from the bottom of our Danger hearts for taking good care of our customers. One more day left for me in the desert, yeah!

We made it, and we should be proud.

As Mark Harlan once said, this is the day that will forever change this company. Every October 1st from now on we will remember the day we launched. From CEO (Mr. Rubin) to Door Opening Associate (Mr Harlan) - every person here today will forever be part of the team that made the hiptop happen.

Bravo.

...

Me, I'm just happy to practice looking like that super cool guy on the box with my wife - Damn but holding a hiptop makes me look sexy!
